The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday rolled out a one-month, in-person academic support programme for government-school students of Classes 10 and 12 across the Union Territory of Ladakh, the board said in an official post on X.

CBSE said the sessions are being conducted at 10 locations in Ladakh to reach students in both Leh and Kargil regions. The programme sites include Leh, two centres in Nubra, Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo and Chiktan. Resource persons and experienced teachers from CBSE-affiliated schools in different parts of the country have been deployed to lead the sessions.
Subjects and focus areas
The board stated the initiative aims to sharpen students' understanding of key subjects and help them prepare more effectively for the upcoming board examinations. For Class 10 pupils, the emphasis will be on Mathematics and Science. Senior secondary students in Class 12 will receive support in Science disciplines — Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics — and Economics, the post said.
"The programme focuses on subject-wise academic preparation, assessment strategies, examination techniques, time management and effective approaches to Board examinations," CBSE said.
Besides strengthening conceptual clarity, the sessions will include training in assessment and examination strategy, time management and techniques to approach board-style questions, according to the board.
