The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department on Sunday released the results of the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET)–June 2026, conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode between August 5 and 16. In-service teachers — those already employed in the education system — recorded a higher pass rate. The statement from the convener said 74,711 in-service teachers had applied for 84,798 papers, of which 72,288 appeared for 81,127 papers. Out of these, 37,789 teachers qualified in 41,315 papers, yielding a pass percentage of 50.93 for the papers they attempted.
The convener highlighted that this represented an improvement over the AP TET–October 2025 cycle, when 31,886 in-service teachers appeared and 15,239 (or 47.82%) qualified.

Overall registration for AP TET-2026 stood at 2,14,486 candidates for 2,38,252 papers, while 1,97,703 candidates actually took the exams for 2,18,254 papers. The convener said the preliminary answer key was released after the examinations and that objections raised by candidates were referred to an expert committee. Necessary corrections were made based on the committee’s review before the final answer key was used to declare results.
