Dimapur: The Dimapur District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Tuesday issued a public advisory urging residents to stay vigilant and take precautions as heavy and persistent rainfall raises the risk of waterlogging and flooding in low-lying and vulnerable parts of the district.

The advisory, signed by Deputy Commissioner and DDMA chairman Tinojongshi Chang, warned people to keep a close watch on any sudden or rapid increase in water levels in drains, nallahs and other water channels.
