French distributor KMBO and its founder, Vladimir Kokh, will be presented with the Best International Innovation Distribution Award at the International Film Distribution Summit (IFDS) during FilmFest Hamburg Industry Days, organisers reported. The summit runs from 29 September to 1 October 2026, with the award ceremony scheduled for 30 September 2026.

The award, now in its fifth year, is presented in partnership with several industry stakeholders. As part of the recognition, the Marché du Film will provide the recipient with a visibility package at its next edition to showcase the distributor’s line-up, organisers said. The collaboration is intended to broaden the reach of the winning company and to connect it to buyers, festival programmers and other decision-makers.
Organisers also said the partnership will extend opportunities to alumni of Cannes Makers, the Marché du Film’s talent development programme. Selected graduates will be invited to attend IFDS and the industry event European Work in Progress (EWIP), held alongside IFDS, to expand their networks and connect with professionals active in sales, distribution and financing.
