Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday urged officials, government employees and citizens to take an active role in the “Partners in Nation Building” initiative, saying improved delivery of public services and collective responsibility would help realise the aims of Viksit Bharat and Swarna Andhra.
Reviewing departmental performance at the Real‑Time Governance Society (RTGS) meeting at the Secretariat, Mr. Naidu said the programme, proposed to be launched on August 15 to coincide with Independence Day, is intended to involve every citizen in nation‑building and to raise awareness about the responsibility of contributing to the State’s development.
“Every government employee and official should consider nation‑building a responsibility and take the initiative to the people,” Mr. Naidu said during the review, according to the minutes of the meeting circulated afterwards.

Road repairs, service delivery and public awareness
The Chief Minister instructed officials to launch a statewide “Road Doctor” zero‑pothole mission to ensure that damaged roads and potholes are repaired immediately. He said pilot efforts were already under way at some locations and should be expanded across the State.
Mr. Naidu emphasised that visible improvements in service delivery would strengthen public participation. He cited the response to the inauguration of the Bhogapuram airport and the DSC‑2025 teachers’ initiative in Kurnool as examples where people backed government moves after seeing positive outcomes and clear communication of facts and achievements.
Officials told to step up outreach
During the review, the Chief Minister directed departments to intensify outreach so that citizens were aware of the Partners in Nation Building programme and could be actively involved in its implementation. He underlined the need for prompt repair work and for government staff to view service improvement as part of their duty to the State.
Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad and senior officials from various departments attended the meeting, which focused on monitoring delivery metrics and scaling successful pilots.

Implications for citizens and officials
The Chief Minister’s directions indicate a renewed focus on visible infrastructure maintenance and public communication ahead of the Independence Day launch. If implemented as stated, the zero‑pothole mission would require co‑ordination between road, municipal and rural development departments as well as rapid deployment of repair teams to address reported defects.
Officials were asked to treat nation‑building as a shared responsibility and to ensure that departmental achievements are conveyed clearly to the public, a move the government believes will sustain citizen support for its projects.
The RTGS meeting also underlined the use of real‑time monitoring to track implementation, though the review did not publish specific performance targets or timelines beyond the instruction to scale pilots across the State.
No further operational details, budgetary allocations or district‑wise implementation plans were released at the meeting. Senior officials present included the Chief Secretary and heads of various departments, who will be responsible for translating the directives into action ahead of the August 15 launch.
The State Government has highlighted earlier that public support tends to follow when projects deliver visible benefits; the Chief Minister reiterated that clear communication of facts and outcomes is central to the success of the new initiative.
