Party reviews projects, plans grassroots push
Nellore — Telugu Desam (TD) leaders from the erstwhile Nellore district reviewed development works, welfare schemes and party organisation at a meeting chaired by State Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy on Sunday, according to party officials present.
The meeting, held at Mr Anam’s renovated camp office at Santapeta, discussed ongoing and pending works related to irrigation and drinking water projects, implementation of welfare schemes and steps to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, the officials said.
TD district president and MLC Beeda Ravichandra told the media after the meeting that membership enrolment and formation of new committees in the district had reached more than 90 per cent completion. He outlined plans to intensify field contact through motorcycle tours across constituencies and mandals to improve coordination with party cadres.
"More than 90 per cent of membership enrolment and new committee formation had been completed," said Beeda Ravichandra, according to the party release.
Mr Anam said people had placed their trust in the coalition government’s two-year record and that the party would work to retain public confidence by maintaining direct engagement with citizens and addressing their grievances, the statement added.
Discussion points and political messaging
Participants reviewed specific development priorities including pending irrigation and drinking water initiatives. Party leaders also evaluated the implementation of welfare schemes being carried out by the government, the release said.
