ENGLEWOOD — Joe Anderson, the mayor pro tem of Englewood who had served on the city council since 2019, died Friday after collapsing while hiking Quandary Peak in Summit County, according to city officials and published reports.

Emergency responders were called to the lower slopes of Quandary Peak, one of Colorado’s high fourteeners, after hikers began CPR on Anderson.
