Ranchi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a state-wide advisory predicting light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across Jharkhand from September 17 to 20. The bulletin warned that isolated thunderstorms and lightning are likely in several districts during the period.

The IMD has identified a heightened risk of convective activity beginning on September 17 and continuing through September 20. Authorities in the regional office said wind gusts may reach up to 40 kmph in affected areas.
