Man in custody after cab driver records alleged obscene conduct and assault
Gurugram: Police in Gurugram arrested a man following a complaint by a female cab driver who alleged that he deliberately showed her an obscene video on his mobile phone and later misbehaved with and assaulted her when she objected, a police spokesperson said on Thursday.
The woman recorded the incident on her phone and uploaded the clip to social media, where it subsequently went viral, the spokesperson said. A formal case was registered at Police Station DLF Sector-29, and the accused is under questioning as the investigation continues.

According to the police account, the incident took place on Wednesday when the woman had parked her vehicle to charge it. Another driver parked alongside her for charging and was sitting in his vehicle playing an obscene video on his phone, deliberately turning the screen in her direction. When she protested, the man allegedly abused her and physically assaulted her.
"We are questioning him. Legal proceedings in the case will follow the law. The investigation is underway," the Gurugram police spokesperson said.
