Hot start and balanced attack

“I do think it was an awesome night in the stadium. What our administration has done with the lights and the sound system ... I thought the Zona Zoo was outstanding. It was a huge step in terms of creating a game day atmosphere that people are going to be excited about.”
The coach singled out the student section, known as the Zona Zoo, for generating a lively environment that appeared to lift the team, especially on early possessions.
Third down efficiency and Fifita’s role
Brennan underscored the importance of situational football, pointing to third downs and the red zone as critical areas. He praised Fifita’s decision-making and athleticism, describing how the quarterback’s ability to throw on the run and create with his legs stretched defenses and improved Arizona’s chances on extended drives.
“When Noah is playing at that level, he gives us a real chance not just with his ability to make good decisions throwing the football, but also with his ability to create with his legs,” Brennan said, noting that the quarterback’s versatility was particularly valuable in third-down scenarios.

Arizona’s victory sets up a quick turnaround and a challenging road test at BYU next week. The Wildcats will aim to clean up ball-security issues and shore up the secondary while maintaining the offensive balance that produced points early against NAU.
