Local print firm adds high-end Canon digital press to broaden services
Vadodara — I Print Solutions, a commercial printing and finishing shop based in Vadodara, has augmented its production line by installing a Canon imagePRESS V700 digital colour production press, the company said. The acquisition is intended to lift print quality and increase throughput for a wide range of customer segments across the city and region.
The company representative, Dilip, said the machine arrived at the production facility approximately three months ago and has been integrated into the existing fleet of equipment. He described the press as offering capabilities that match the shop’s requirements for sharper imagery, richer colours and greater media versatility.
“Being a one-stop print shop for professional digital printing and other associated tasks, we always aim to fulfil what our customers from diverse industries demand and desire. In this respect, we have opted for the Canon iPR V700, which arrived in our production facility barely three months ago, to enrich the vividness of colours, textures, and sharpness in graphic prints that we currently produce as per our customers’ demands and desires,” Dilip said.
I Print Solutions produces a broad portfolio of finished goods including business cards, invitation cards, labels, stickers, ID cards, envelopes and lanyards. The firm also handles stationery such as letterheads and specialised items like medical doctor files, in addition to indoor and outdoor signage and promotional graphics, according to the company.
Specifications and operational scope
The Canon imagePRESS V700 is a compact digital colour press but is described by the vendor as suitable for oversized graphic work. Key technical highlights cited by the company include a rated speed of 70 pages per minute (ppm), industry-leading printing resolution of 2,400 x 2,400 dpi, and the ability to handle a wide range of sheet sizes and media weights.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Rated speed | 70 ppm |
| Resolution | 2,400 x 2,400 dpi |
| Supported sizes | SRA3, A3, A4, long sheets up to 1,300 mm |
| Media weight | 52–350 gsm |
The press is capable of printing on both lightweight and heavyweight substrates, including covers and envelopes, the company said. That range allows I Print Solutions to offer varied finishes and tactile effects for high-end invitation cards and premium business stationery, sectors that local clients frequently request.
Implications for Vadodara’s print and trade ecosystem
Vadodara hosts a cluster of small and medium-format print shops serving corporate clients, educational institutions, advertising agencies and event managers. By upgrading to a higher-spec digital press, I Print Solutions aims to differentiate itself on quality and turnaround time, which can be significant in a competitive local market.
- Service diversification: The new press lets the firm expand offerings — particularly long-sheet print and heavier stock — without outsourcing.
- Quality uplift: Higher resolution and colour control may help the shop win contracts for premium invitations, corporate branding and specialised packaging inserts.
- Operational efficiency: A faster digital press can reduce lead times and free capacity for additional jobs, potentially increasing revenue per shift.
While the company did not disclose financial details of the investment, the move reflects a wider trend of digitisation and consolidation in the commercial print sector, where smaller operators upgrade equipment to meet evolving client expectations around colour fidelity, substrate variety and shorter runs.
Local businesses seeking high-quality print, short-run personalised products or quick-turn signage may now find expanded local capacity through I Print Solutions. The firm said its focus remains combining creativity with technology to deliver finished products tailored to client briefs, leveraging the new press alongside its existing machinery.
As demand for tailored print solutions persists among Vadodara’s corporate and events market, such technology additions are likely to influence service offerings and competitive dynamics within the city’s printing industry.
