CM to deliver closing remarks at conclave focused on long-term development
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is scheduled to preside over the valedictory session of the ETGovernment Viksit Chhattisgarh Conclave 2026 in Nava Raipur on Friday, organisers said. The final leadership dialogue, titled "Seva Sankalp: Roadmap for Viksit Chhattisgarh 2047", will frame the state’s long-term development objectives and the policy and investment measures intended to achieve them.
The one-day event, organised by ETGovernment in collaboration with the Government of Chhattisgarh, will be held on 18 September at the Mayfair Lake Resort in Nava Raipur under the theme "Enabling Growth Through Policy, Innovation & Investment". Senior policymakers, government officials and industry leaders are expected to participate to examine the state’s development priorities and investment prospects.
- Focus: Long-range economic strategy and mechanisms to ensure growth delivers improved public services and infrastructure.
- Scope: Deliberations will include industrial development, manufacturing, mining and mineral value addition, and measures to broaden the state’s economic base.
- Policy context: Discussions will take place against recently notified state policies including the Industrial Development Policy 2024–30 and the Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025–30.
“Seva Sankalp will provide the concluding frame for a day of discussions on how Chhattisgarh can build a future-ready economy,” organisers said in a release.
Where policy meets investment
According to the event brief, the Seva Sankalp dialogue aims to place the state’s pathway within a longer horizon, to 2047, highlighting steps that can make Chhattisgarh a more diversified and competitive destination for investors. The conclave arrives at a time when the state government is emphasising expansion beyond its traditional mineral and heavy-industrial base.
Officials note that the Industrial Development Policy 2024–30 extends incentives to a broader array of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, textiles, food processing, electronics and IT/ITeS, alongside established areas such as steel and core manufacturing. The state has also published an Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025–30 and deployed an investment-promotion framework intended to support capital formation, job creation, technology acquisition and logistics improvements.
Local implications and topics likely to be raised
Speakers at the conclave are expected to address how policy tools and investment incentives can be aligned with local needs in Raipur and Nava Raipur, including:
- Mechanisms to translate industrial projects into improved urban infrastructure and public services.
- Value addition in mining and ways to retain greater manufacturing and processing within the state.
- Measures to attract investment in emerging sectors while sustaining employment in traditional industries.
Organisers said the conclave will provide a platform for dialogue between government and industry on these issues, though specific names of private-sector panellists and the detailed session schedule were not listed in the announcement.

With the state seeking to broaden its economic base, the concluding session under the Chief Minister’s chairmanship will be watched for any signals on how Chhattisgarh plans to sequence investments, target sectors and translate incentives into concrete projects. Observers say the interplay between policy, innovation and investment that emerges from such gatherings can influence the pace at which new manufacturing and service-sector opportunities reach cities such as Raipur and the surrounding region.
