Nuh district authorities seized around 7,500 kg of paneer from four dairies during a late-night operation, officials said on Saturday. The crackdown, carried out after fears of contamination and illegal production, follows a government order imposing a one-year suspension on paneer manufacturing in the district about a month ago.
Raid carried out by multi-department team
The action was conducted on Thursday night by a joint squad that included Food Safety Officer Vikas Jaglan, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Amit Kumar, Sadar police station SHO Naresh Kumar, Tehsildar Sanjeev Nagar and representatives of the Pollution Department, officials said.
Teams inspected Yusuf Dairy, Khalid-Israel Dairy, Pandit Dairy and Saddam Dairy, where a large quantity of prepared paneer was seized on account of suspected adulteration. Officials said several dairy operators in the area temporarily closed their units after the raid, citing concern over further action.

Context: ban and alleged supply network
Authorities said the operation came despite a district-level ban on paneer production issued around a month earlier. Officials reported that more than three dozen unlicensed or illegal paneer-making units continue to operate in the district, particularly in the Punhana area.
According to officials, paneer from some of these dairies is allegedly transported to major nearby markets, including Delhi, Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida and Mathura. The district administration said the inspections aimed to stop potentially unsafe products from entering the regional supply chain.
