Plumbing supplier expands in Winchester Trade Park
A plumbing supplies company has taken a long-term lease on a unit at Winchester Trade Park, close to the city centre, in a deal that the park’s owner says will bolster local trade provision and make use of the site’s road links.
Unique Plumbing Supplies has agreed a ten-year lease on a 3,020 sq ft unit on the estate, which is owned and managed by family-run developer and investor Hargreaves Group. The company will join other trade and light industrial occupiers on the park.
"We are delighted to welcome Unique Plumbing to the Trade Park, bringing this complimentary use to this Estate," said Alastair Keir, senior asset manager at Hargreaves Group.
Hargreaves highlighted the site’s road access as a key advantage, noting proximity to the M3 and A34 which, the developer said, will support service to a broad customer base across Hampshire.
What the unit offers
The unit taken by Unique Plumbing Supplies has specifications designed for trade occupiers and light industrial users. Two further units of identical size remain available on the estate.

Local impact and context
For Winchester residents, the arrival of a dedicated plumbing supplies branch on a nearby trade estate can make it easier for builders, plumbers and DIY-minded householders to access materials without travelling further afield. Developers say the park’s position near the city centre and major roads provides a practical base for businesses serving both the city and the wider Hampshire market.
Two units remain at the park, each offering the same footprint and fit-out features as the one taken by Unique Plumbing Supplies. The availability will be of interest to local businesses seeking reasonably sized premises with immediate road links and on-site parking.
- Unique Plumbing Supplies has taken a 3,020 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease.
- Winchester Trade Park is promoted for its access to the M3 and A34 and proximity to the city centre.
- Two similar units remain available, each with glazed frontage, three-phase power and six parking spaces.
The deal underlines a steady demand in the region for small-to-medium trade units with good transport connectivity. For local councils and planners, such occupiers are often seen as complementary to town centres: they support construction and maintenance sectors while locating where vehicle access and parking are more practical than in tightly constrained high streets.
Hargreaves Group’s senior asset manager framed the letting as a positive for the estate and its customer catchment. Occupiers on trade parks typically draw trade visits and van-borne deliveries, reinforcing these sites’ role as practical hubs for local tradespeople.
With two units still on the market, the park may attract more occupiers looking for a base close to Winchester’s centre but with the operational advantages that a modern trade park provides. The development is likely to remain of interest to firms that need a combination of warehousing, display frontage and customer parking without the premium cost or access constraints of central retail sites.
Further activity on the estate will be of interest to residents watching how local industrial and commercial space is reused and how that affects services available to homeowners and tradespeople across the city and surrounding areas.
