Major new park and sports ground under construction in Perth’s Darch
Work has started on an ambitious new public open space in Perth’s northern suburbs that the developer says will provide a lasting community asset for a rapidly expanding estate.
The 4.8-hectare site at the Kinmore Green estate in Darch is being delivered by developer Parcel Property in partnership with the City of Wanneroo. Located near the corner of Mirrabooka and Attadale avenues, the grounds are described by the developer as being roughly the size of two Optus Stadiums and will offer a mix of sporting and recreational facilities for local residents.

Parcel Property general manager Jeremy Cordina made the comment at the commencement of works, which were attended by Wanneroo mayor Linda Aitken, Landsdale MLA Daniel Pastorelli and Parcel Property project director Ryan Hunter.
Facilities designed for multiple sports and everyday use
The 4.8ha public open space will include a large turf field intended to accommodate Australian Rules football, soccer and cricket, together with double cricket practice nets. Separate hard‑surface courts will be fitted with basketball and netball hoops. The plan also incorporates family amenities such as a playground, shaded seating, picnic tables and outdoor exercise equipment.
