The City of Brantford is reminding eligible electors that they will have three distinct ways to vote in the municipal election on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026. A Voter Information Letter is scheduled to arrive in households by Oct. 1, and it will explain how to use internet voting, where to cast advance ballots, and how the city’s Vote Anywhere model will operate on election day.
Online voting available for nearly two weeks
Online voting — described by the city as Vote by Internet — will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 and remain available until 8 p.m. on Oct. 26. Voters can use personal computers, laptops, tablets or mobile devices, and the system is compatible with assistive technologies.

Advance in-person voting locations and times
The city will offer advance voting from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15 through Sunday, Oct. 18. Two locations will be open for advance ballots:
- Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, 254 North Park Street
- Brantford City Hall, 58 Dalhousie Street
For those attending City Hall to vote in advance, free parking will be available at the Darling Street Municipal Lot 3.
Vote Anywhere in Your Ward on election day
On Oct. 26, Brantford will operate a Vote Anywhere in Your Ward model. That means eligible electors may cast their ballot at any polling station located within the ward where they live or own property, rather than being confined to a single assigned polling place.
The Voter Information Letter will list the polling stations serving each ward. Residents who are unsure about which ward they live in or where they own property are advised to consult the information included with the letter or visit Brantford.ca/election for details.

The municipal election will determine local representation across Brantford’s wards and decide the city’s mayoral contest and council seats. The Voter Information Letter, arriving by Oct. 1, will provide the individual voter information necessary to take part, including specific instructions, ballot access codes and polling station listings.
