A 15-year-old Grade 10 learner from Ikatisong Secondary School has died after being stabbed in Letlhabile, outside Brits, and a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing, police said.
Incident unfolded in township outside school
Emergency personnel brought the injured learner to Letlhabile Clinic on Tuesday morning after he was found with multiple stab wounds. Medical staff at the clinic pronounced him dead. North West police identified the victim after his mother arrived at the facility, Sergeant Kelebogile Morake said.
Police said the learner had reportedly been involved in a disagreement with a known 19-year-old the previous week. The two allegedly met again in the township outside the school, where the fatal stabbing occurred. The precise motive and sequence of events remain subject to further investigation.
