Charlottetown — Disney Cruise Line will make its first visit to Prince Edward Island in nearly 10 years when the Disney Wish docks at the Port of Charlottetown on Oct. 27, 2027, bringing roughly 4,000 passengers to the capital in a single day.

Mike Cochrane, chief executive officer of Port Charlottetown, said the cruise line’s decision to return follows years of relationship-building and reflects the Island’s growing profile in the global tourism market. He highlighted the province’s coastline, red sand beaches and the international recognition of Anne of Green Gables as elements that resonate with cruise guests.
“We’ve been in discussions now with Disney Cruise Lines for the last number of years,” Cochrane said. “They said, ‘Yeah, we’re coming back 100 per cent, we would not miss Charlottetown.’”
Port Charlottetown officials also noted that hosting a call from a ship the size of the Disney Wish — and its family-oriented brand — helps position the Island alongside other high-profile Atlantic Canada destinations on the international cruising map.
