FRISCO, Texas — LaserCare Eye Center announced plans to open a new Frisco clinic on Sept. 1 and will close its Irving office after 26 years of operation. The practice said the move is intended to support its growth in North Texas and provide a conveniently located option for residents of Frisco and nearby communities.

New Frisco address, services and transition

The new Frisco location is scheduled to open at 4645 Wyndham Lane, Suite 190, Frisco, TX 75033. The practice said services offered at the Frisco office will include a range of ophthalmic and vision correction care such as LASIK, SMILE, refractive lens exchange (RLE), cataract surgery, refractive cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmic care.

Although the announcement marks the end of LaserCare’s long presence in Irving, the practice emphasized continuity of care. Patients who previously used the Irving office will be able to receive care at the practice’s locations in Plano, Southlake and the new Frisco clinic. The organization said it is working to make the transition as seamless as possible for existing patients.

“For 26 years, Irving has been an important part of LaserCare Eye Center’s story,” said Sidney Gicheru, M.D. “We are incredibly grateful to our Irving patients for trusting us with their vision and to the entire Irving community for welcoming and supporting our practice.”

Why the move matters for Frisco residents

For Frisco residents, the addition of LaserCare’s office means another locally available provider for surgical and routine eye care. The clinic’s stated offerings include advanced refractive procedures — procedures that many patients seek when exploring alternatives to glasses or contact lenses — as well as cataract and comprehensive eye care services.

Locations and patient options

The practice confirmed it will continue serving patients at its remaining offices while phasing out services in Irving. That means patients in North Texas will have several LaserCare locations to choose from for consultations, follow-ups and surgeries.

Office Status
Irving Closing after 26 years
Frisco (4645 Wyndham Lane, Suite 190) Opening Sept. 1
Plano Continuing
Southlake Continuing

The practice attributed the relocation in part to the continued growth of North Texas, saying the new Frisco office will allow it to serve patients from Frisco and surrounding communities from a convenient location. In its announcement, LaserCare thanked the Irving community for more than two decades of support and reiterated appreciation for patients, local physicians and businesses that assisted the practice over the years.

For Frisco patients considering refractive or cataract procedures, the new clinic will represent another option for preoperative evaluation, surgery and postoperative care within the city. LaserCare did not specify hours of operation or how the transition will affect existing scheduled appointments; patients should contact the practice directly for specifics about appointment transfers, medical records and scheduling.

As Frisco continues to attract new medical and commercial services, the arrival of a specialized ophthalmology and refractive surgery provider is one of several recent clinic openings intended to meet rising demand for specialty care inside the city limits. LaserCare’s move underscores ongoing changes in how and where eye-care services are delivered across North Texas.

Additional questions from patients and community members should be directed to LaserCare Eye Center’s offices for details about services, scheduling and the Irving office closure process.
