WASHINGTON COUNTY — Investigators are piecing together events after the bodies of five people were discovered Saturday on a rural property near Forest Grove, authorities said Sunday, describing the case as a quintuple homicide.
Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office initially responded early Saturday to reports of a vehicle fire at a property in the unincorporated area near Forest Grove, about 30 miles west of downtown Portland. Firefighters who arrived on scene then found the remains of five people and several dead domestic animals, officials said.
