Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend a state-level function in Ayodhya on Tuesday to honour Anganwadi workers and helpers from across the state, officials said on Tuesday. The programme will also see the distribution of appointment letters to newly recruited Anganwadi staff.
Large turnout expected from Ayodhya division
Authorities said between 12,000 and 15,000 Anganwadi workers and helpers from the Ayodhya division are likely to take part in the event, which will be held at the Government Inter College ground. The main ceremony will be telecast across Uttar Pradesh so that people in other districts can follow the proceedings, officials added.
District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi said departmental ministers and local representatives would be present. Women associated with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and those engaged in ration distribution are also expected to participate.
District-level participation and parallel programmes
Officials gave an estimate of the likely participation from key districts within the Ayodhya division, underlining the scale of mobilisation for the event.

Tripathi said similar ceremonies would be organised across all districts of Uttar Pradesh simultaneously, while Ayodhya will host the principal state-level event in the presence of the Chief Minister.
Recognition, new appointments and wider civic aims
According to the Chief Minister’s post on X, the function aims to acknowledge the contributions of frontline Anganwadi staff, meritorious children and outstanding supervisors. Appointment letters will be handed out to newly appointed Anganwadi workers and helpers during the ceremony.

The post described the event as part of a wider effort to promote what was termed a journey of “prosperity through labour and empowerment through service” that will energise the creation of a 'Viksit Uttar Pradesh'.
Logistics and security
Officials said extensive arrangements have been made to finalise preparations before the Chief Minister’s visit. Given the expected large turnout, district administration teams have been coordinating transport, seating and public- address systems, and the telecast arrangement to ensure statewide viewership.

After the ceremony
After the programme, the Chief Minister is scheduled to visit Hanumangarhi and the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, officials said.
