Creatara Mobility, billed as India’s first lifestyle electric two‑wheeler (e2W) maker, has inaugurated a new production facility in the Delhi‑NCR region that will manufacture its flagship models, the IN40 and VM4.

Plant built for repeatable, scalable manufacturing

The company said the plant is founded on a principle of creating a repeatable, reliable and scalable manufacturing system capable of keeping pace with market expansion. The facility will turn out the two crossover, intelligent e2Ws that Creatara has positioned as lifestyle statements for young riders who prize individuality, personalisation and style.

Creatara emphasises that the products are intended to blend fashion and mobility: bold, globally aligned styling combined with engineering and customisation options designed to appeal to college students and young professionals. The company framed its offering as more than a transport solution, describing the models as items that reflect personal taste and identity.

Manufacturing discipline and capability building

Company executives underlined a long‑term approach to building capability without overextending on capital. The management said the focus has been on creating competence in successive areas — technology, product, certification, supply chain and now manufacturing — rather than simply spending to scale.

"We have built Creatara with disciplined capital. Our focus has never been to spend our way into scale. It has been to create capability at every stage — technology, product, certification, supply chain and now manufacturing," said Ringlarei Pamei, Co‑Founder, Creatara Mobility.

As production begins, the company listed priorities including consistency, product quality, process discipline, standardisation and continual improvement. It also said it has progressively developed in‑house strengths across powertrain, battery, electronics, electrical systems, tooling, manufacturing, connected technology, components, testing and industrialisation.

Factory culture: Japanese 5S as mindset

Rather than a single shop‑floor practice, Creatara has adopted the Japanese 5S approach — Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain — as an organisational mindset. The company said that the same discipline that shaped vehicle development will now guide manufacturing operations.

  • Location: Delhi‑NCR
  • Models to be produced: IN40, VM4
  • Target audience: College goers and young professionals
  • Manufacturing focus: Quality, standardisation, scalable processes
Model Positioning
IN40 Crossover intelligent e2W for personalised style
VM4 Crossover intelligent e2W aimed at youth lifestyle segments

By combining design intent with an emphasis on internal engineering and testing capabilities, Creatara aims to carve a niche in India’s competitive EV landscape. The firm’s stated strategy is to attract a cult following among younger riders through extensive customisation and a strong visual identity.

Industry observers have noted that as the e2W market matures, a differentiation driven by lifestyle credentials — styling, personalisation and brand culture — could become as important as technical specifications when appealing to urban youth. Creatara’s new plant and its stated in‑house competencies indicate a push to control more of the value chain as it seeks to deliver that promise.

Production at the Delhi‑NCR facility marks a major step in the company’s industrialisation plan. With standardised processes and continuous improvement central to its approach, Creatara will look to scale output while maintaining quality and consistency as it brings the IN40 and VM4 into broader circulation.
