Canuc Resources Corporation has launched a major airborne geophysical program over its East Sudbury holdings that the junior explorer says will give one of the most detailed pictures yet of deep structures beneath ground east of Sudbury.
Advanced survey aims to unlock deep discovery potential
Bell Geospace has begun flying Canuc’s Full Tensor Gravity (FTG), magnetic and LiDAR survey across the company’s roughly 200 km2 East Sudbury Project (ESP), the company announced. The survey will cover close to 2,000 line-kilometres, with the goal of better defining deep geological structures and prioritizing large-scale drill targets.
Company materials indicate the FTG and magnetic data will be integrated with a seismic program completed in July by OptiSeis Solutions Ltd. and Natural Resources Canada along the McLaren Lake Fault. Together, Canuc says, the two programs are expected to significantly refine geological interpretation across the property and help identify prospective mineralized systems, including MIAC-related gold and IOCG-style deposits.

The company says the FTG and magnetic interpretation products will be used to identify and prioritise high-value gravity anomalies for follow-up drilling.
