New 141-room Pride Plaza adds event and wedding capacity to Indore
Indore has gained a new upscale hospitality address with the launch of Pride Plaza Indore, a 141-room property situated on the AB bypass near Rau. Pride Hotels & Resorts said the hotel will serve both the city's expanding business travel segment and a robust wedding and events market, adding to the group's existing footprint in Madhya Pradesh.
The company described the property as featuring a swimming pool, six versatile event venues, three restaurants including a pool-side lounge and bar, and extensive banquet facilities designed for large gatherings. With the opening, Indore becomes the only city in the state to host two Pride-branded hotels, joining Pride Premier Indore.
"It gives us immense pleasure to launch our own hotel in the heart of India, Madhya Pradesh, in Indore. This property holds a special place for us... to have it here in Madhya Pradesh, the state I call home, makes this moment truly personal for me and for all of us at Pride Hotels," the group chairman and managing director said, highlighting the launch as a homecoming.
The company said this is its fifth hotel in Madhya Pradesh, in addition to properties in Bhopal, Ujjain and Jabalpur. The firm also noted the launch is the eighth hotel owned by the group overall and carries particular significance because the chairman and managing director hails from Sagar district in the state.
Local implications: jobs, events and supply chains
Hospitality openings typically create direct employment in operations, food and beverage, housekeeping and events management, and indirect opportunities in logistics, catering and local services. While the company release did not provide specific hiring numbers, the scale of the venue — including multiple banquet and event spaces — suggests a focus on the wedding and conventions market that drives repeat business for hotels in Indore.
- Rooms: 141
- Event venues: Six versatile spaces plus expansive banquet facilities
- F&B: Three restaurants, including a pool-side lounge & bar
- Location: AB bypass, near Rau — accessible to airport and industrial corridors
Indore's position as a commercial hub in western Madhya Pradesh and its rising profile as a shopping and cultural centre have supported a growing demand for both corporate and leisure accommodation. The addition of Pride Plaza is likely to increase the city's inventory for business travellers and large social functions, a segment that local hoteliers say is resilient.

Competition and market context
Indore has witnessed steady hotel development to cater to conferences, industrial visits and a thriving wedding market. The new Pride Plaza will compete with existing mid- to upper-scale hotels on services, event capacity and price. For vendors, caterers and event planners, an additional large banquet facility increases available dates and choice for large weddings and corporate events.
Company statements emphasised the property’s role in strengthening the group's presence within the state and meeting demand for premium accommodation. They framed the launch as both a strategic expansion and a personal milestone because of the chairman’s roots in Madhya Pradesh.
As the property becomes operational, residents and businesses in surrounding areas such as Rau and the AB bypass corridor may see greater economic activity, including commuter traffic and increased demand for local supplies and services. Detailed employment figures, investment size and expected annual occupancy rates were not disclosed in the announcement.
The hotel’s opening underscores a broader trend of hospitality investment in Indore, reflecting the city’s expanding business profile and continued appeal as a destination for large social gatherings.
