Drug-trafficking probe leads to charges after Wellington Street East search
Chatham-Kent police say a targeted search of a residence on Wellington Street East has resulted in the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of $13,500 and criminal charges against two local residents.
Officers from the force's intelligence unit, supported by the emergency response team, executed a court-authorized search warrant at the home on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug trafficking, police said. The raid produced a mix of controlled substances and cash.
